Prepare Vaccination Card as prefered by UK Hospitals

When you are applying for Certificate of Sponsorship, many UK hospitals need a certification from a doctor (physician or MBBS), stating that you have got vaccinated.

You must be vaccinated for the following infections,
  • Hepatitis B
  • Chicken pox
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Mumps

For Measles, Mumps and Rubella,

These injections are usually received during your childhood. Hence only a booster dose is required.

See a doctor. Purchase MMR Vaccine and have it Subcutaneously (SC).

Measles has an Immuno-suppression effect lasting for upto 1 month. It is advised that to not to take any other vaccinations during 1st month after MMR Vaccination, as the other vaccine may loose its potency. (I missed this and took all the injections on the same day, LOL).

For Hepatitis B,

As you are a health care provider, you might have received this vaccine from you Nursing Education Institution or Hospital where you have worked.

Hence you are only required to have a booster dose (as per your doctor's advise).

ie, 1 ml - Hepatitis B Vaccine - Intramuscular (IM)

For Chicken Pox (2 doses),

If you had previous chicken pox infection, you do not need this vaccination. You only need the certification from a doctor.

If not, Buy Varizella Vaccine. It costs about 1500 Rs. Have it administered subcutaneously, as per a doctor's advice.

I took - Inj. Varilrix - this vaccine for adults we need to take 2 doses. The 2nd dose is to be administered between 4 to 6 weeks after receiving the 1st dose. There might be others available. Follow your doctor's advice.
